Dr. Alexandra Agar is a California-based licensed marriage and family therapist and a certified sex therapist and coach, specializing in sexual health and wellness. She became interested in a practice focus on sex and sexuality while earning her MS at California State University, Northridge and completed her doctorate in Clinical Sexology at the Modern Sex Therapy Institute. 

During her graduate studies she was a member of an award-winning team who developed psychoeducational curriculum for adolescent boys with problematic sexual behavior and as her graduate thesis, created a proposal for a hands-on sex and sexuality workshop in the Los Angeles area for people with disabilities.  
 Dr. Alix maintains a private practice in Los Angeles where she works with couples, individuals, and those in non-traditional relationships (such as polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, etc.) in dealing with a wide range of sexual issues, helping them to overcome barriers to sexual satisfaction, and reach their full sexual potential. Dr. Alix’s clinical philosophy is rooted in the belief that every individual has the right to achieve full sexual citizenship, incorporating sexual expression, sexual health and sexual well-being, no matter their age, gender, physical limitations, or sexual orientation. She offers a safe, sex-positive environment for PWD/kink/poly/LGBTQIA+ clients, offering an array of specialized coaching interventions.
